DAC in RAID0 or RAID1

Hello Can you tell me if the DAC for Decoder, Concentrator and Archiver are in RAID0 or RAID1. What happen when one disk is down on DAC.

Hi Ange,

The DAC are normally configured as RAID 5 so if you lost 1 disk you still be good.

Certain Decoder's may have ended up with a RAID0 array due to bug that temporarily existed in certain versions of the nwrarraycfg script. Instructions on how to check and fix can be found at the following link: https://community.rsa.com/docs/DOC-58963

RSA has a built-in script nwraidutil.pl to show all DAC logical and physical drive (RAID) status, one can simply ssh into the desired RSA NW server and run the script.

 

Below is sample command output from a decoder with TWO DACs attached to Adapter 1, and each DAC has two logical (virtual) disks: RAID1 and RAID5:
