configuring user access for REST API - lots of docs on accessing the REST API (ports etc), setting up credentials for access to the REST API not found. I need a dedicated user ID and credentials to provide access that can be monitored.

Bill,

 

REST authentication is done at the service level (broker, concentrator, decoder, etc.)

 

You need to create an account on the service (ex. Go to broker -> view security) and add a new user, assign a password, and appropriate role. If this account will be used across all services, then replicate that account to the other services by selecting the account and the selecting “replicate” from the GEAR menu, then enter the password twice, select the target services and clicking OK
