Hello,
In our virtual deployment we have enabled cold storage of the archiver, when browsing the files stored in the cold storage path, I don't see any compressed files, all of them are binary files. Is this the normal behavior? how can I check if the compression is working fine?
I tried to use both compression types (gzip and lzma) and same results
Thanks in advance

The compression selected is for the entire collection which can contain hot and warm storage, not just cold storage. Compression is within the binaries you are seeing. Cold storage does not have unencrypted compressed files that are easy to identify.
As such you cannot directly access the cold storage logs and meta. The only way to review the data in cold storage is to bring it back up using the Workbench service. You can review on how to configure the Workbench service using the linked document if you are unfamiliar with the process. https://community.netwitness.com/t5/netwitness-platform-online/workbench-configuration-guide-for-12-3/ta-p/700153
From everything you have shown above, I would say it is working as expected. I hope this helps.
