Can OVF file for VLC(Virtual Log Collector) can be deployed on physical server if procured

Hello All,

 

Can OVF file for VLC(Virtual Log Collector) can be deployed on physical server if procured.

Actually we have been given one physical server with specs same as vm for hosting VLC.

 

Is OVF can be loaded into it.

 

Need your help.

I'm not sure there is a way to deploy an OVF to hardware, but if you use the Installation media (DVD ISO or USB ISO) to boot from, you can select "3rd Party Qualified Hardware", and then select "Remote Log Collector" and it will install  the needed files to hardware to run as a VLC (Remote Log Collector).

If you install VMware ESXi on your server and then deploy OVA template.

OVA deployment on VMware ESXi is our recommended one.

Hi Jin, 

 

Ran into some issues with my current VLC deployment and I am having an issue finding where to download a new copy of the file. Thanks for your help.
