Hi,
I have around 9+ appliances of RSA SA solution.
So there are some issues have been found in it, so as per RSA team they are suggesting to go with the replacement of all appliances.
I take config backup of all the appliances from the GUI every week.
So what's my question is, do I need to go with the database backup of all the appliances.
Is it really very required. Incase if I miss it what are the type of data and files I'll miss it.

Hi Deepanshu,
I think this really depends on what type of appliances you are using. For example, if you have an Event Stream Analysis (ESA) appliance and don't back up the alerts database, you will not preserve the historical alerts that were triggered prior to the RMA.
I would recommend following the backup and recovery guides in the Security Analytics User Guide here: http://sadocs.emc.com/0_en-us/089_105InfCtr/215_SysAdm/BackupRest
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for your response.
If I say that we have appliances like Decooder, SA, Log Decoder, Concentrator, SAW nodes?
Then what to do?
