How do I overcome the 255 character limit for windows event channels?

We are trying to configure Windows Event Log collection using WinRM.  We are working from a list of recommended security events to be collected.  When we enter the list for the channels as described in the WinRM setup guides we get an error in the logs that says the channel exceeds the max length (255) for channels.

Is there a way to work around this or will we need to be more picky about the events that we collect?

Was this a max length of the text box to enter the channel names in? or something else?

Can you share the current string of event channels that you are attempting to gather?
