Not able to start log decoder, status: Initialization error

Tried to check the /var/log/message, it said:

Any idea where should i get the file?

im stuck with nwipdbextractor as being unable to find the .dir file located at /var/netwitness/ipdbextractor/devicelocation/global/local/directory/, ive put a ticket in but im still waiting for a response.

have you deployed the envision-content?

no this was cleared up later in the day after i had posted it, apparently the rsa tech onsite was not to familiar with the product and led me to believe i needed ipdbextractor. after a few emails to my account rep i was able to get this resolved....
