question regarding reimage/reinstall the SA appliances

1. Any backup and restore procedures? If customer wants to retain the data(packet,meta),just copy and restore? any special configuration?

2. If the SA appliances have DAC configured, need to backup LVM configuration? If no LVM configuration, how to restore the additional storage?

Event Stream Analytics (ESA) is NOT required to upgrade SA 10.2 to 10.3.  It is a new 10.3 module/appliance which can be added at any time.

It provides streaming analytics and supports meta data from both packet and log concentrators. 
It provides advanced correlation using a seperate server, so this helps performance.

It used to be part of the SAW, but was unbundled, which helps greatly!

Running 10.3 SP1, I'll follow this subject and hope a tool or procedure will be supplied . 

Anyway, nothing found on this subject in the RN for 10.3 and 10.3 SP1
