Issue
When checking the ConsoleServer-Error.log file it is noted that there are error type [40] System.IO.InvalidDataException messages found in the log similar to what is seen in the example below:
6/24/2016 11:30:22 AM
[40] System.IO.InvalidDataException:
Expected download of file "D:\Program Files (x86)\OPSWAT\Metascan 16\Engines\QuickHeal\platform.dll" with hash 602028fb46abfad345e9c4c7f96b0c425f4e803e45bc1be282ac341509885151 but received hash 52405393e7aec0837918d68dd953400992c175bc89ba49f0a9305f96e3222574 from fe4abdf6-78b5-c181-cb25-246b21de2604.
Cause
This is caused because the file has changed on the agent machine since the last scan so the hash values do not match.
Resolution
This is actually expected behavior. File hashes for downloaded files may change over time, so the fact this is showing in the error log is not an issue, but is technically an informational message only. Any time this message is seen in the logs, it should be ignored.
