Executing puppet agent -t returns an error "Cannot retrieve repository metadata" in RSA Security Analytics Core Appliance 10.6.0.x

Issue

The error will also show in Health & Wellness as "Puppet Agent Failure".

Executing puppet agent -t fails and returns the following error:

yum.Errors.RepoError: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: RSASoftware. 
Please verify its path and try again.

Cause

When executing puppet agent it check the repository on the SA server for updates.
If the repository is not present puppet agent will print this error message.

Open the SA interface and go to Administration > System > Updates. Click on Manage Repository to confirm that no repository is present.

Resolution

• Open the SA interface and go to Administration > System > Updates.
• If internet connection is available make sure Connect to Live Update Repository is selected and click on Check Updates.
• If internet connection is not available use Manual Updates to populate the Local Update Repository,
• Click on Manage Repository to confirm that a repository for the current version is now present.
