The NetWitness product signing is changing for versions beyond 11.6.0. Customers upgrading beyond version 11.6.0 will need to plan the upgrade carefully. The environment will need to be upgraded to a version that contains packages signed with the old GPG key and contain the package that provides the new GPG key.
When planning to upgrade beyond 11.6.0 the NetWitness environment will need to be first upgraded to a version that is signed by the old GPG key but contains the new GPG key. There are three versions that contain both keys but will be signed with the original GPG key.
Customers can upgrade to one of the versions that are listed above by using the appropriate path outlined below:
- Target Release - 11.4.1.4
- Upgrading from - 11.4.0.0, 11.4.1.0, 11.4.1.1, 11.4.1.2, 11.4.1.3
- Target Release - 11.5.3.2
- Upgrading from - 11.4.0.0, 11.4.1.0, 11.4.1.1, 11.4.1.2, 11.4.1.3, 11.5.0.0, 11.5.0.1, 11.5.1.0, 11.5.1.1, 11.5.2.0, 11.5.3.0, 11.5.3.1

Once the NetWitness environment is upgraded to a version that has the new GPG signing key, it can be upgraded beyond 11.6.0.0. For example to upgrade to 11.6.0.1 the environment must already be on 11.4.1.4, 11.5.3.2, or 11.6.0.0.
