Package has been installed on Linux Agent. Agent is able to send data to RSA NW Endpoint Console Server. However the Linux agent fails to show up in the UI.
This could be result of generating the incorrect version of the Linux Red Hat package for the machine applied.
Check the /var/log/messages file on the target machine for following message:
May 20 11:03:31 Linux-1 nwe-agent: Failed to load librpm from /usr/lib64/librpm.so.1, err : [/usr/lib64/librpm.so.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64]
The above message is thrown when a 32 bit package is installed on 64 bit machine.
To verify the correct architecture of the Agent OS (see if it is 32 or 64 bit version) run the following command: uname -m If the command returns value "x86_64" the machine is a 64 bit. Likewise if the command returns the value of "i686" or "i386", machine is 32 bit.
Generate a Linux Package for the appropriate architecture. Screenshot shows the two available versions:
