Issue
When running nwsetup-tui on the new NW Server and being prompted for the path for previous version backup, the following error occurs:
The specified backup path
'<entered path>' does
not appear to contain the backup content.
Please ensure the backup content has been
staged in the specified directory.
Image description
Cause
The backup may be in a subdirectory of /var/netwitness/database/nw-backup.
Alternatively, there are multiple -network.info.txt files in the path specified.
Workaround
If there are multiple -network.info.txt files in the path specified, the workaround is to create a sub-directory in the original path specifically for the NW Server backup.
In the following example, the backup was created 23/June/2018 and so the backup path was /var/netwitness/database/nw-backup/2018-06-23
mkdir -p /var/netwitness/database/nw-backup/2018-06-23/node-zero
cd /var/netwitness/database/nw-backup/2018-06-23
mv <nw_server_original_hostname>* node-zero/
mv *-controldata-mongodb.tar.gz* node-zero/
mv all-systems-master-copy node-zero/
When running nwsetup-tui again, give the backup path to
/var/netwitness/database/nw-backup/2018-06-23/node-zero
