RSA Security Analytics 10.4 interface displays "HTTP ERROR: 503" after deploying a new OVA

Issue

Navigating to the Security Analytics UI after deploying a new OVA results in the "HTTP ERROR: 503" message from Jetty.

Issuing the command curl https://<sa_server_ip> -k displays output similar to the following:

The /var/lib/netwitness/uax/logs/sa.log file displays the following error message:  Temporary failure in name resolution
 

Cause

This issue can occur if the hostname of the Security Analytics server virtual appliance is changed but the /etc/hosts file is not updated accordingly.

Resolution

In order to resolve the issue, modify the /etc/hosts file to reflect the new hostname and reboot the virtual appliance.
