Cause

The firmware for the raid card will need to be updated to the most qualified version.

Resolution

**** REBOOT IS REQUIRED ****

The most qualified raid card firmware is in the following link https://community.rsa.com/docs/DOC-79266

When upgrading the firmware there are two methods of upgrading the firmware through the cli and through idrac. The steps below will be through the cli.
  1. Download the binary file with the File Name: SAS-RAID_Firmware_1P67X_LN_50.5.0-1750_A06.BIN
    • This file is located here
  2. Once the file is download it put it on the server that needs to be updated
  3. Use the following command to make it executable
    • chmod +x SAS-RAID_Firmware_1P67X_LN_50.5.0-1750_A06.BIN
  4. Execute the file
    • ./SAS-RAID_Firmware_1P67X_LN_50.5.0-1750_A06.BIN
  5. The system will prompt for a reboot
  6. Once the system comes up run /opt/rsa/saTools/nwraidutil.pl only internal drives may be shown/weird values for the attached drives may be shown, don't be alarmed (proceed below)
  7. Run this command (it shows the raid controller information for the external adapter) The error should be shown in the next bullet
    1. /opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli/MegaCli64 -cfgdsply -a1
    2. This error will be displayed                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            OSSpecificInitialize: Failed to load libsysfs.so.2.0.2 Please ensure that libsfs is present in the system.
The dependent library libsysfs.so.2.0.1 not available. Please contact LSI for distribution of the package
User specified controller is not present.
      Failed to get CpController object.

      Exit Code: 0x01
  8. Please follow this KB article for this dependency (click on "KB" for hyper link, article number 000032528)
  9. Now the /opt/rsa/saTools/NwArrayConfig.py script should complete
Please contact support if this doesn't resolve the issue
