Unable to download ESA rules for RSA Security Analytics from cms.netwitness.com

Issue

In isolated network environments where ESA rules cannot be downloaded from Live in RSA Security Analytics, attempting to download the rules directly from cms.netwitness.com results in a gray page.  This occurs regardless of the browser being used.

For example, the screenshot below depicts what is displayed when navigating to the URL http://cms.netwitness.com/live/resources/ee1043c5-90b9-403d-a4e6-fc7dd45387d8.

Resolution

A permanent fix for the issue is currently being investigated.  Until the issue is resolved, the workaround below may be used.

Workaround

A workaround that can be used to avoid the issue is to use the URL prefix http://cms.netwitness.com/live/resources/download when navigating to the Live resource.  

For example, the URL http://cms.netwitness.com/live/resources/download/ee1043c5-90b9-403d-a4e6-fc7dd45387d8 should be used instead of http://cms.netwitness.com/live/resources/ee1043c5-90b9-403d-a4e6-fc7dd45387d8.  This will allow the file to be downloaded successfully.
