Concentrator Losing Data

Hello

Im noticing that the concentrator is losing data....since yesterday we lost 3 days of logs: We could query since 19 of September and today we can only see data since 22 of September. I need to stop that....is that possible?

How can i put the logs that are in the log decoder because the log as data since 9 September. Only with the suggestion from Dave Glover? https://community.rsa.com/message/917738? How can i set da bigger data retention?

How can we put an Archiver? Is it an additional license?

The archive is an additional appliance. I highly suggest talking with your account manager or sales person about purchasing at least one for your environment.

There seems to be some partitions missing from your output. Is this a physical server or a virtual machine?

We just added some space to meta.dir.cold and meta.dir.warm by suggestion from support

That make sense then why I don't see the other partitions. You actually should not be using the cold and warm options on a concentrator. Those are actually used on archivers. The reason they are on a concentrator is because concentrators and archivers have similar backend program but concentrators do not use those options. Since you have a virtual machine the easiest thing to do would be to add more virtual storage space to the concentrator and then expand the file system to utilize that storage.This would require making adjustments to OS and some options in the service but it would at least give you the increase without additional purchase.

Also for the archiver question previously since you have a virtual concentrator I assume you have metered licenses. If so then you can request the archiver image and the metered license will provide a license for the archiver.

I believe that im going to do what you refer....

I going to give the space that we create to cold and warm option to our concentrator. But what changes should we do to the OS and to the service?

I already passed the "hot potato" to my superior, regarding the archiver

Considering that if you do not perform the steps correctly when resizing partitions you could loose data. I would highly suggest working with your Support Engineer in the case you already have opened. This way Support can work with you interactively on increasing the sizes needed. If you were given additional virtual disks instead of having it added to the existing ones then things should be easier as it may not require any OS file system changes.

As we use LVM we added space to the concentrator....the space we created specially for cold and warm

yeah then I would highly suggest working directly with support to make sure nothing happens with your data.
