Paul,

Based on the screen capture it looks like you might have a space between the @ and the IP address in your rsyslog.conf file.

Please ensure you have that line with no space between the @ and the IP.

E.x.

. @192.168.1.101

If that doesn't work, will you post the output of "journalctl -u tomcat8.service" (entered without the quotes)?
