After Upgrading from 5.0 OVA to 5.1 to 5.1.1 on A Single SARE, Concentrator and Decoder in my vm lab I have a strange error on Administration>Hosts page. After clicking on it it simply says Failed pre-Upgrade Checks, and is blank. Have any of you received this error before and if so we you able to track it down to the root cause? The attached screen shots will show you what I am facing.
Administrator>Hosts page
Drill down, and the error is empty for the most part.

This may hold the solution. The Error looks the same. And the file is not in the specified directory.

Hi John,
Is that upgrade package uploaded manually in SA repository or its download by SA server itself during automatic update?

This was a manual upgrade.
I ssh'd in to a working test server that is running 10.5.1.1 without any errors. Went to the directory indicated above, and the file was there. Made a copy of the host.manifest to edit it in notepad++. In there it had it took me to scol 10.5.1 update instructions. It seems that in my haste I missed a step and didn't install the --SecurityAnalytics-10.5.1-Manifest-EL6.zip.
I tried to retroactively use the update this. it is now giving me a syncerror under administration>hosts.
if i sync then I get
"Error setting up repositories: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository sa. Please verify its path and try again."
I am not sure at this time if I am going to blow away the vms and rebuild or manually fix it.

Hi,
Perform a yum clean all from an ssh session, then go back into the gui and use the manual update and use the add + to bring the 10.5.1-Manifest-el6.zip , upload and apply. Then refresh the browser and verify if that error goes away.
Administration > System > Updates > Manual Updates > Upload Files and then select the Manifiest zip file. and then apply.

Hi David, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I did exactly as you suggested.
After the manifest had been applied I started having multiple errors. The main one being that the one of the reporting .rpm wouldn't update.
I ended up blowing away the VM. It turns out that the 5.1 update package that I had grabbed from our company share was corrupt.
