How to enforce FQDN when logging into the web GUI

Currently the https://IP address is used to log into the Web GUI but would like to use the FQDN instead. Would anyone know where this is documented or if this needs to  be on the DNS server.

whatever you enter as fqdn behind the https needs to resolve to an IP address.

Ideally you have that defined on your DNS or you put it into your hosts file on your client.
