LogCollector setup

Newbie question:

I am trying to set up a Log Collector service from the GUI. Upon clicking "Test connection", I see the message "Failed". If I proceed to save, I am not able to start the service.

The host is the Log Decoder. I have verified that the ports 50001 and 56001 are open on the log decoder machine. I have tried with and without default username and password, with and without SSL. The connection always fails and I am not able to proceed.

The problem was caused by the fact that the NwLogcollector service was not running. Once started, I was able to set up the Log Collector service via the GUI.
