Revamped NetWitness Education Courses

RSA Education, based on NetWitness customer feedback, has revamped the NetWitness curriculum.  The first new course will be on Administrator.  Some new updates to the course include:

• The content for this instructor-led class has been revamped and extended to three days.
• The course is now task-based
• New topics include NetWitness for Logs and external authentication.
• The class is now 50 percent hands-on to provide real-life experience.  

This course is appropriate for users that are focused on the administration of the RSA NetWitness product. It provides an overview, hands-on installation and configuration of components.  The course also covers integration with other products, monitoring capabilities and troubleshooting of common issues.

I find the administration course has far too much troubleshooting included. Considering most people who complete this course will also complete the Analyst I and Analyst II training it seems like we spend far too long on troubleshooting before we clearly explain the general use of the system. In my opinion, troubleshooting only makes sense if you explain how to use the system in normal operation first.

Also, I assume when Analyst I and Analyst II are updated, some of the repeated elements will be removed. It doesn't have a nice flow today.

I would be tempted to offer a 5 day course which includes all three coures. It is very hard to make use of only a single course without the previous one anyway.
