SFTP agent stops sending log time to time

we have integrated Msexchange and MS IIS server using file reader service by installing sftp agent on devices and we got both devices are integrated successfully we are getting logs from both server but now issue is the after some time sftp agent stop sending logs and its happening continuously after some time interval.

When we do login in event source and use the command nicsftpagent.exe –v then again it start sending logs to SA, we are not getting why sftp agent stop sending logs to SA while all the service is running. We have installed the sftp version 3.7

Has this ever worked in the past?

I would recommend opening a case with RSA Support to help troubleshoot.

Hi David,

Yes, I have the error in event log where it is mention clearly that SA SFTP AGENT service is not interactive service.

Freckly speaking, this is actually first time applied on customer side. But in past I never seen kind of issue on other customer site. Case has been open already, waiting for the responds.

Yes I have seen it. After talking with Windows Admin, even after checking the service name under services.msc SA SFTP AGENT name comes as SA SFTP AGENT. It should be like sasftpagent or SA_SFTP_AGENT like this.

From Customer feedback below:

Suggestions:

1. Check if there is any logging for the executable involved sasftpagent.exe and evaluate that.
2. As a best practice, always keep the servicename (not the display name) without spaces.

The ServiceSpecificExitCode = 0.

That tells that it’s a graceful stop. So, this means that the service stopped by itself. It is in the code of the EXE itself.

Well, I perform another test. I got a Windows 10 Desktop. I installed with SA SFTP AGENT and perform all task related to Public and Private Key. But here also, it get stopped automatically after 10 sec. Even I tried with Local Account and Domain Account. But issue still exists.

Guys, issue resolved.

But still not able to understand, how it start sending logs after uninstall and reinstall the agent.

Guys, the sasftp services get stopped rapidly and need to restart every 1 mins. I need a solution.

If it working smoothly on other server, then why it is not working on particular server for log collection.
