Dears,
Does anyone knows which trap OID we should use in legacy and global notification server settings for SNMP server.
I am getting snmp traps in my SNMP server which is IBM Tivoli also known as SCAPM, but these traps are not being identified by the IBM tivoli and the message we can see at SNMP server end, is below :
no rule found for enterprise ID .1.3.6.1.4.1.36.807.3.2
While rest of appliances are getting identified by the same SNMP server.
Below are the MIB files which has been applied on SNMP server to identify the traps:
NETWITNESS-IPMI-MIB.txt and NETWITNESS.txt.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Rajbir,
Can you please confirm if the Trap OID under Administration-System-Legacy Notifications-SNMP Settings is set as 1.3.6.1.4.1.36807.1.8.1.0 not 1.3.6.1.4.1.36.807.3.2 or similar?
I think an extra "." has gotten into the OID.
36807 should be identified by NETWITNESS-MIB.txt.
Thanks,
James

Dear James,
Thanks for the quick response.
It is configured as .1.3.6.1.4.1.36807.3.2
please let me know if i can configure 1.3.6.1.4.1.36807.1.8.1.0 in trap OID so what about variables.
Do i need to add anything?
Please suggest, thanks in advance.

Hi Rajbir,
1.3.6.1.4.1.36807.1.8.1.0 is the default value for Trap OID in my lab though 1.3.6.1.4.1.36807.3.2 is also a valid OID.
Have you confirmed if the trap with OID, .1.3.6.1.4.1.36.807.3.2, comes from the SA/Admin server? Is there any change this might be coming from another appliance?
Thanks,
James

Really appreciated your efforts and support.
