Hello All,
Last week I was struggling for updating a VLC from 10.4.0.1 to 10.4.1.0, but luckily by doing some google I was successfully able to update the VLC.
Now today I am facing an other challenge with the same VLC during the upgrade from 10.4.1.0 to 10.6.1.0.
When the VLC successfully got updated to 10.4.1.0 then I saw there are almost 950+ packages I can see for the updates to reach 10.6.1.0, when all the 950+ packages got installed then at the end I saw an error which was related to the latest kernel update is pending, then I apply the update for that also but after that still my VLC is not up to date on 10.6.1.0 version. I am wondering why it's still not on the latest version.
So when I tried to update it by a cli then I found that there are few packages which are conflicting with the previously installed packages.
Attached are the screenshots to understand the issue. Kindly look into it & pls advise.
Regards,
Deepanshu Sood.

Hi Deepanshu,
The upgrade to 10.6.1 can't be done from 10.4.x versions. Please follow the upgrade guides and follow the upgrade paths. The below screenshot is from the 10.6.1 upgrade guide:-
Not following the upgrade guide could cause corruption of the image.
Best regards
