Dear All,
Hope you are doing well.
Well I have a question regarding the VLC backup.
I have total 5 VLC configured in my environment, out of which only 4 are in production and working and the last one is down for backup.
Now what I have a requirement is, in worst case if any of my 1 production VLC goes down, can I configure the same IP address to that VLC which is down to collect the logs until the production VLC comes up again.
Now here there is an another requirement that I have is that once the backup VLC would be free, so can I use the same backup VLC as an production VLC for second down VLC.
In this case I will again change the IP address of backup VLC second production VLC IP address.
Now here I have a question, is it feasible to use the same backup VLC for different VLC's as if required, is there would be any certification provisioning problem would be there, because as I know that once you provision any of your component with a specific static IP address with SA box and if you change that IP address on the component then you need to do the provisioning with again with SA box.
Kindly someone suggest me on this solution. Is it a feasible solution. Thanks.
Regards,
Deepanshu Sood.

If any server is created on VM, and that server goes down you can transfer that server in other.
You can ask your server team for more information.

Hi Priya,
At present we don't have a clusterting for vmware. Might be it will take a longer time to be in our environment.
Could you pls suggest is that vlc will work after configuring multiple IP on it when required.
Thanks.
