The current version of the NW Array Configuration script released for 10.6.6 and 11.1.x is unable to configure DACs and PowerVaults on the same Series 5 appliance which is called Mixed Mode.
To address this issue of configuring the two different types of storage (DACs & PowerVault) RSA has released the attached two rpm packages. One of these packages will need to be downloaded and installed on any Series 5 appliance that has DACs and Powervault attached. Once the rpm is installed the NW Array Configuration script will be able to correctly configure the storage.
Note: There are two RPMs attached to this article. One (rsa-sa-tools-10.6.6.1.rpm) is for 10.6.6 only as it is compiled for CentOS 6. The second rpm (rsa-sa-tools-11.2.0.0.el7.noarch.rpm) is for 11.x only as it is complied for CentOS 7.
Note: This is only for Series 5 Mixed Mode storage setup.
To install perform the following steps:
1. Download the correct rpm for your version from this article.
2. Copy the rpm to the series 5 appliance that has Powervault and DAC attached.
3. Install the RPM
rpm -Uvh rsa-sa-tools-<version number>.rpm
4. Run the NWarrayconfig script as you would normally.
