Announcing End of Sale and End of Life for NetWitness Series 6 Appliances, Malware Analysis, Detect AI, and CloudSIEM

Summary:

• Announcing the End of Sale (EOS) for the Series 6 appliances effective November 7, 2024. The Series 6 appliances will reach End of Life (EOL) on November 7, 2026. The same dates apply to the existing Series 6 PowerVault storage. The Series 7 appliances and Series 7 PowerVault storage are available as replacements for the Series 6 appliances and Series 6 PowerVault storage. 
• Announcing the End of Sale (EOS) for its Malware Analysis, effective November 7, 2024. The Malware Analysis appliances will reach their End of Life (EOL) on November 7, 2025.
• Announcing the End of Sale (EOS) and End of Life (EOL) for the NetWitness Detect AI effective November 7, 2024. 
• Announcing the End of Sale (EOS) and End of Life (EOL) for the NetWitness CloudSIEM effective November 7, 2024. 

Platforms:

• All Series 6 Appliances (e.g. NW-S6*) and Series 6 PowerVault storage (e.g. NW-PV-A,B,C,D-N-*).
• All Malware Analysis Versions and Appliances
• All Detect AI Versions
• All CloudSIEM Versions

Details:

Series 6 Appliances and Storage:

• Customers currently using Series 6 appliances are encouraged to begin planning for the transition to the Series 7 appliances and storage. NetWitness will offer extended support for Series 6 appliances until the EOL date, November 7, 2026. The same applies to the existing Series 6 PowerVault storage. Customers who have purchased Series 6 hardware recently will be able to purchase maintenance for both appliances and storage until 5 years after the original purchase date, even if that extends beyond the End of Life date. The combination of Series 6 appliances attached to Series 7 storage or Series 7 appliances attached to Series 6 storage is not supported.
• Please contact your local NetWitness Sales Representative or NetWitness Customer Support if you have any questions or concerns to ensure a smooth transition to the Series 7 appliances (e.g. S7-PE-*) and Series 7 PowerVault storage (e.g. S7-PV-HD-*).

 All NetWitness Malware Analysis Versions and Appliances:

• We encourage customers to engage with their NetWitness Sales Representative or Customer Support to ensure a seamless transition. The upcoming NetWitness Next platform, scheduled for release in Q2 CY 2025, plans to include integrated malware capabilities. NetWitness will continue to provide extended support for Malware Appliances until the End of Life date. Customers who have purchased Series 6 hardware recently will be able to purchase maintenance for both appliances and storage until 5 years after the original purchase date, even if that extends beyond the End of Life date.

 All Detect AI Versions:

• Customers who have deployed NetWitness Detect AI are encouraged to begin planning a transition to UEBA on-premises for all supported use cases.

 All CloudSIEM Versions:
