- Announcing the End of Sale (EOS) for the Series 6 appliances effective November 7, 2024. The Series 6 appliances will reach End of Life (EOL) on November 7, 2026. The same dates apply to the existing Series 6 PowerVault storage. The Series 7 appliances and Series 7 PowerVault storage are available as replacements for the Series 6 appliances and Series 6 PowerVault storage.

Series 6 Appliances and Storage:
- Customers currently using Series 6 appliances are encouraged to begin planning for the transition to the Series 7 appliances and storage. NetWitness will offer extended support for Series 6 appliances until the EOL date, November 7, 2026. The same applies to the existing Series 6 PowerVault storage. Customers who have purchased Series 6 hardware recently will be able to purchase maintenance for both appliances and storage until 5 years after the original purchase date, even if that extends beyond the End of Life date. The combination of Series 6 appliances attached to Series 7 storage or Series 7 appliances attached to Series 6 storage is not supported.

All NetWitness Malware Analysis Versions and Appliances:
- We encourage customers to engage with their NetWitness Sales Representative or Customer Support to ensure a seamless transition. The upcoming NetWitness Next platform, scheduled for release in Q2 CY 2025, plans to include integrated malware capabilities. NetWitness will continue to provide extended support for Malware Appliances until the End of Life date. Customers who have purchased Series 6 hardware recently will be able to purchase maintenance for both appliances and storage until 5 years after the original purchase date, even if that extends beyond the End of Life date.
