NetWitness announces End of Primary Support (EOPS) for NetWitness Platform version 11.7.x, 12.0.x and 12.1.x

Summary:

NetWitness announces the End of Primary Support (EOPS) for NetWitness Platform version(s) 11.7.x, 12.0.x, 12.1.x starting December 31, 2023. NetWitness plans to have a release by the first quarter of 2024 to support replacement of the currently in-use CentOS 7 OS to an equivalent Linux based OS and meet the CentOS 7 EOL deadline of June 2024. NetWitness will support an ‘in-place’ upgrade to this release from NetWitness Platform versions 12.2.x and 12.3.x.

 

Affected Products:

 

All versions of NetWitness Platform 11.7.x, 12.0.x, 12.1.x

 

Recommendation:

Customers who have deployed NetWitness Platform version 11.7.x and below are encouraged to upgrade first to v12.2.x or v12.3.x, in preparation of upgrade to the version of NetWitness with the CentOS 7 replacement, when released. Customers can avail themselves of extended support for one additional year. Customers with Common Criteria certification requirements are requested to wait for the next major/minor release.

 

Please contact your local NetWitness Sales Representative or NetWitness Customer Support if there are any questions or concerns with the upgrade. In addition, NetWitness recommends you review your upgrade plans with your local Sales Engineer to ensure a smooth upgrade.

NetWitness has a defined End of Primary Support policy associated with all major versions. Please refer to the Product Version Life Cycle for additional details.
