NetWitness Platform (NWP) is announcing adjustments to previous guidance on NWP Perpetual Licensing, including Appliance Model licensing, for the remainder of FY22 (through February 2022). This guidance supersedes all previous guidance issued, including guidance in the End of Life announcement and End of Sale announcement.
Please review details below for updated guidance on NWP Perpetual Licensing topics and reach out to your NetWitness Account Manager for additional details.
Since issuing previous announcements, NetWitness Customers and Partners provided feedback that the notification period was too short and in some cases this change would be disruptive to how they do business. Consistent with our over-arching Customer First business principle, we are announcing the following new guidance.
Affected Products:
• NetWitness Logs
• NetWitness Network
• NetWitness Malware Analysis
• NetWitness Endpoint
• NetWitness UEBA
• All NW Appliance License Model Devices (servers, storage, add-on equipment)
Recommendation:
Please reach out to your NetWitness Account Manager for assistance on specific scenarios including renewals, expansions, and technology refresh.
NetWitness has a well defined Customer Conversion program for Customers interested in converting to Throughput Licensing from our Legacy Appliance License. Customer Support also remains available to assist Customers during license transitions.
