Summary
NW Platform contains remediation for a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) that could be exploited by malicious users to gain unauthorized access or compromise the affected system.
Details
A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified within the Add Rules section on the Manage Rules page for Netwitness Platform DB and Respond DB at https://<url>/reporting. This vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's session, potentially leading to information theft or unauthorized actions.
Resolution
The following NetWitness Platform release contains resolutions to these vulnerabilities: NetWitness Platform version 12.5
NetWitness recommends all customers upgrade at the earliest opportunity.
