Dear Valued RSA Customer,
Summary:
RSA, The Security Division of EMC, has found an incompatibility issue between Microsoft Windows 10 and its ECAT agents. On endpoints where the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system is installed, a condition arises on startup, triggering an operating system crash (Blue Screen). The condition may repeat upon reboot, sometimes leading to a need to remove the ECAT driver after a safe reboot. While the condition has been reported against recent patches of the operating system, RSA is issuing this warning for all patch levels of Microsoft Windows 10.
Affected Products:
RSA ECAT 4.1 agents deployed on Microsoft Windows 10 endpoints
Recommendation:
To avoid this issue, RSA recommends uninstalling the RSA ECAT Agent from any Microsoft Windows 10 OS endpoints at this point. RSA is urgently working to resolve this issue and will provide an update with a fix when available.
