Ideas Roadmap

Statement:

Ideas portal replaced again the enhancement request procedure, like it was before.

Issue:

Problem is that even though we can vote and Ideas are sorted by votes, Idea owners and whole community have no possibility to see if developers picked up some ideas and will implement.

Idea:

Would be good to have more labels added to the Idea, such as:

• In backlog
• Under implementation
• Implemented in 6.3 P2-3-4, etc
• Rejected

Also, having Ideas roadmap shared with us somewhere is a nice improvement overall.

As the ideas continue to come in, be voted on, and get refined through comments, we will start taking them internally. The requests already have multiple status values, although I believe nothing has as of yet progressed past "Proposed" at this time. Keep an eye on the general Ideas site for Archer to watch for things as they start progressing through the process, keeping in mind an Idea needs to obtain a certain number of votes based on it's category before it's considered.

Thanks for clarifying, Scott.

One drawback of such approach, that if some great idea, which is say technically complex but very beneficial development wise, do not get many votes due to being pretty specific or not many people knowledgeable about that are, then such idea will never be implemented.
