I am capturing information on the NetWitness Investigator and trying to do some University homework, but am confused as to where to see the alerts. They do not come out on the report when I stop the capturing and double click on the Demo Collection.
This is my school assignment:
Open the software, and then double-click "Demo Collection" on the main screen.
In the Alerts section, click the sample vulnerability:cleartextpasswords:other link. If your instructor has provided you with a data trace file, open the file instead of the demo packet.
Browse the information in this screen. Find and open the password information. Can you read the displayed password? What is it?
Spend at least 10 minutes exploring the NetWitness Investigator interface. Click each of the tools on the toolbar and see how the screen changes. List the name of each tool.
Be sure to summarize your findings and also discuss the pros and cons of this tool. Defend your response with sound research.
Can someone please help me do this as I am unable to even see an Alerts option or a sample option. Thank you very much!!
